Eden, who was recently diagnosed with a rare and fast-growing childhood cancer. Initially suspected as tonsillitis, further tests revealed a tumor in his pharyngeal sinus, and sadly, we learned that the cancer has also spread to his chest, lymph nodes, and bone marrow.

Just weeks before his third birthday, Eden was airlifted from Wagga Wagga to Sydney for urgent care. He spent days in intensive care, sedated and unable to breathe on his own. After multiple tests, he was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma—a rare childhood cancer affecting fewer than 5% of children. This type of cancer impacts skeletal muscles, which are essential for movement. Eden’s medical team determined he required emergency chemotherapy, and treatment began immediately. With the support of an incredible team of specialists, he is making small but hopeful strides forward.

A gofund me page has been set up to help to support Eden’s parents as they stay by his side during this critical time. Both have had to step away from work, and relocating from Wagga to Sydney means they are far from home, their community, and their support network. The first phase of Eden’s treatment will last at least 4 months in the hospital, and they’ll remain in Sydney for as long as he needs.

Eden’s diagnosis has already impacted his daily life in countless ways. He now requires regular physical, speech, and occupational therapy to help him regain strength, mobility, and his ability to eat and play like other children his age. Funds raised will go toward essential living expenses, travel, and staying connected with family back home, allowing Dean and Isabel to focus entirely on Eden’s care and recovery.

We know many people want to help, and your donations, shared messages, and positive thoughts mean the world to us. Every contribution, big or small, helps lift the financial burden for Eden’s family during this challenging time. If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing Eden’s story to reach others who might be able to help.

Eden asks to go home nearly every day, longing for the familiar comfort of his own space. With your generous support, we can keep his family together during this challenging time and work toward bringing everyone back home in the new year. Every contribution helps bring us closer to that hopeful return, where Eden can finally be back in the place he loves, surrounded by family and comfort.
